Strawberry Shortcake in a Glass

This smoothie is creamy and indulgent, but because it's made with cottage cheese, it contains much fewer calories and fat than a typical milkshake. Serve as a breakfast, snack or dessert.

Ingredients

1/3 cup75 mLGAY LEA - Skim Milk
1/4 cup50 mLGAY LEA - Nordica 1%
1/4 cup50 mLFrozen Strawberries, and ice
1 tbsp15 mLHoney
1/2 tsp2 mLVanilla Extract
GAY LEA - Light Whipped Cream
Fresh Strawberries, thawed, for garnish
Vanilla Wafer Cookies, crumbled

Instructions

  1. Combine milk, cottage cheese, strawberries, honey and vanilla in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a 10 oz (300 mL) glass. Garnish with whipped cream, strawberries and cookies. Serve with a wide straw.
  • Excellent source of vitamin C and folate.
