Ingredients

3 cups750 mLMacaroni
3 tbsp45 mLGAY LEA - Salted Butter
1 1 Garlic Clove, minced
1 1 Onion, small and chopped
1/4 cup50 mLAll Purpose Flour
3 cups750 mLMilk
2 cups500 mLIvanhoe Old Cheddar, shredded
28 oz796 mLCanned Stewed Tomatoes, drained
10 oz284 mLCanned Sliced Mushrooms, drained
1 tsp1 mLSalt
1/4 tsp5 mLPepper
1/4 cup50 mLCrumbled Cooked Bacon

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain.
  2. Melt butter over medium heat in heavy saucepan. Add garlic with onion and cook until soft. Add flour and cook 1 minute. Whisk in milk.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until thickened.
  4. Stir in cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms, salt and pepper. Add macaroni and stir to combine. Spoon into serving bowl and top with bacon.
