Ready or not, it’s time to get in the Holiday spirit! We have some excellent suggestions to get you geared up for this bustling restaurant season. From décor to easy adapt menu items and even charitable suggestions, we have the tricks of the trade in an actionable format for you!
Get Decked Out!
Yes, let’s get decorating both the interior and exterior of your restaurant. It will help ensure customers take notice and start thinking about where they might like to dine next, book a party or meet up with friends for some seasonal enjoyment. The right music choice and wonderful scents also create the celebratory atmosphere. Then in January, take away only some of the décor items leaving a “winter” theme still in place. White twinkle lights help brighten up our dark winter days immensely.
Build Noticeable Profits.
Desirable Appetizers, festive Cocktails and to-die-for Desserts increase cheque averages… and TIPS! This is the season so offer it up, suggestively sell and make sure your Servers are parading platters so diners can see what looks tempting. Serving up a variety of cheeses, along with some charcuterie-style meats and a few dips is a quick and easy starter – great for sharing too. Wine or cocktail pairing suggestions are often welcomed by guests.
Get Outside your own Walls
If you want to attract some new customers, think about nearby locations they frequent this time of year. If you don’t have a shopping mall nearby consider other places such as arenas or even a Christmas tree lot that might be close by. Partner to promote your restaurant to their customers and vice versa. Be sure you make it super easy for people to view your menu and make a reservation. Is your website polished up and mobile friendly?
Everyone Wants a “Feel Good” Moment
Particularly during the festive season, we want to do something kind. Why not do a toy drive or support your charity of choice through guest engagement. Be sure you’re selling Gift Cards to help with the shopping (and build more business). Consider a review of your own food left overs and find a way to donate locally. Your Staff will be smiling and so will your Guests.
